| According to Breed Standards, the ideal German Shepherd "is stamped with a look of quality and nobility, - difficult to define, but unmistakable when present." German Shepherds were known originally for their versatility, reliability, and ability to be trusting personal companions. Gebirgshaus Kennel has been in the business of raising German Shepherds for many years. We are proud of our efforts to improve and maintain high standards of the breed. All of our dogs are bred to be healthy, highly intelligent animals with curious, loving temperaments and strong nerves. Regal with an air of nobility - See if you don't agree. We breed from solid East German blood lines. We also breed occasional West German blood lines. Additionally we have added Slavic bloodlines and also we have imported exceptional females from the Czech Republic. We host a "foster care" program that allows some of our females to live in experienced homes with children and other family pets. This allows us to keep all of our females totally socialized in "normal" living environments. Our puppies are always whelped here, at our home where the best of care and attention can be given to mothers and pups alike. The mom's remain here until their pups are weaned and then they return to their foster homes. Our breeding facility is spacious and offers our pups (after 3 1/2 weeks) the world of nature and loving humans as they grow, explore and learn. Our dogs possess outstanding beauty and health, and are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. | "Once in a Lifetime - If you're lucky," you may meet a Kinder. Kinder has graduated to working with handicapped residents of a group home. Kinder has found his true purpose in life as a Therapy Dog. He has truly improved the quality of his clients' lives. Kinder is truly one of a kind.
On November 21, 2003 Kinder left for the Rainbow Bridge to wait for his family. His February 11th birthdate would have been his 13th year. To greet him there, when he arrived, was our precious Katie Didit... she is no longer alone... and that's a good thing for the both of them. They are both missed beyond words! |

| Rieko is von Hena-C's home grown East German male that is line bred on the famous Held Ritterburg 2-3. He has great balance of prey and defense drives. His grip is full and calm. He is a classic East German with dark pigment, strong bone and a broad head, He is a black sable, 85 pounds, 25" tall, and has excellent temperament. A true East German in heart and soul. Our Deekee-Boy died on Oct. 23, 2004, while away from 'home"... He surely will be missed, as he was every time he was away from home "working"... While he wasn't our's legally, he sure felt like one of ours, in our hearts! Sad as we are, I am sure our Keyra was overjoyed to see him arrive at the Rainbow Bridge... Now they can dig and carry sticks and rocks together forever! All that have Rieko pups are so lucky! |

| We are very fortunate to have this outstanding Czech/DDR female here at Gebirgshaus Kennel. She is an exceptional girl to be able to incorporate into our breeding program. Garri not only has working abilities that are supported by titles, but she quickly became part of our family and lives as such. This is her most exceptional attribute: she has blended into our family setting seemingly effortlessly. Garri is the granddaughter of one of the best working/producing males in the Czech Republic in Cordan An-Sat on the top side. On the bottom side, she is the great granddaughter of the great Lord vom Greisdreieck from Germany. |
